I have purchased this packet for 3 weeks. In the first 4 days I've lost two pounds. Guess how big they were? The five-day starter box has a variety of different food types to give an idea of the tastes. They are also a great option for people to try Nutrisystem without committing to a full month's worth of food. Maybe the trick is to go back and forth?

My favorite dinner well, the only one I really like I should say is actually the lasagna, which I see some reviewers have not cared for. For me every other dinner is tolerable and the rest of the meals are pretty good. I do have a sweet tooth so I appreciate the little bit of chocolate every day. Anyway, I'd recommend giving it a try. It's easy enough to add in some protein and veggies, the food isn't bad, and I wasn't hungry between meals. The bars taste like all the other bars, the dinners were okay Smelled bad, looked bad, tasted bad. Haven't had the Rotini yet, and after last night, I'm a little afraid.
I was disappointed to find, however, that the Nutrisystem D 5-day plan marketed to diabetics contained all but two of the same meal choices. I bought the Diabetic plan to try next week, hoping there would be different meals with lower carb content more like Atkins bars and meals. This five-day starter box was a great start to a great program. As with any diet, the first couple days are the hardest, but the meals are packaged wonderfully and are very convenient. The five-day starter box has a variety of different food types to give an idea of the tastes. After completing my five-day starter program, I decided to order a month supply directly from Nutrisystem.
If you have never tried Nutrisystem, I think the starter box is a great way to get introduced. However, if you try the box and like some but not all the foods, then keep going and sign up for the service on-line to customize your food. Everyone's tastes are different so being able to customize what foods you want is a very nice feature of ordering on-line after you've tried the starter program.
This program has taught me portion control and I'm losing weight and feeling better. I would highly recommend this program to everyone! There have been a few slip ups and I have swapped out a vegetable they recommend for one I love.
I have lost That is also buying it, using it for 5 days then my own food for 2 days then back on for the next 5, etc. I am pleased with the food. The only one I could live without and am not too fond of is the chicken alfredo.
I do add a tad bit of garlic powder to it and that makes a world of difference. The rest of the food is pretty darn good. The supermarkets are always rotating their promotional sales.
Check the label closely, as sometimes a frozen meal label will say "contains 2 servings. Check the nutrition label on the box for sodium content. Keep it under mg per meal, the lower the better. The average American eats 1 fruit serving and 2 non-potato vegetable servings per day. They should be getting more than double that for optimum nutrition. You're better off with oatmeal, a low sugar high-fiber cereal, or a Thomas' High Fiber English muffin topped with a tablespoon of non-fat cream cheese or fruit preserves must say "no sugar added" on the label.
To complete your breakfast, you should add a fruit serving and a dairy serving such as a cup 8 oz. Frozen vs "Fresh" Vegetables and Fruit. Nutrients are lost in the transit time.
Fruits and some vegetables contains some sugar and sodium naturally, but check the ingredient list on the package to make sure that the manufacturer isn't adding more. Believe it or not, there are wonderful frozen dessert treats that are under calories. Many frozen fruit bars are delicious and under calories. Dreyers makes a great line of frozen fruit bars in a variety of flavors. Portion control is the key when it comes to dessert.
Make sure that you only buy treats that are individually wrapped as single servings. Even Walmart sometimes carries one or two of their products. In addition to truly great taste especially the chocolate varieties , Vitalicious products all have very high fiber content to keep you feeling full. For lower priced options that are in most supermarkets not in the frozen food section , try brownies from Fiber One.
Most people find them very tasty, and they have fiber to ward off hunger. A lesser way to go but still okay are the calorie packs of cookies, chips, or pretzels. They are nutritionally worthless, and won't keep you from getting hungry, BUT, they're only calories and may satisfy a craving.
I can't stress enough how important it is to only buy snacks that are individually wrapped per serving. Never buy a big bag of potato chips or cookies! Don't buy any ice cream that isn't in single-serving portions.
You will regret it!
